Produced by drummer Johannes Löffler aka Alfrer and recorded in his East Berlin studio, the pack gathers four seasoned players into sessions that feel pulled straight from a dim, smoke filled room circa 1959.

On all the tracks, you’ll find Mattis Lehmann‘s upright bass walking under Michael Haudenschild‘s piano, Niko Zeidler‘s sax and flute carrying the melody, and Löffler’s drums and percussion holding it all in the pocket. The recordings carry the warmth and grain of vintage 50s and 60s jazz, with harmonies and melodies that pull in a more modern direction.
